There was also plenty of bird action (ie top water) for both blues and bass.

OK, I've caught "doubles" before but only using a teaser. Just shows you how aggressive the blues were.
We used a variety of methods fishing - wire jigging, top water, rubber and metal. Some fishing was close to shore in 5-10' of water while other fishing was in 85'. Saw one other boat the entire morning from 4am - noon.
btw - thats a salty plug.

Today (Sat) started a bit rough in CCB and only got worse conditions wise. But, that didn't stop many fish being landed. Alot of the charter boats were trolling wire but we decided to drift over a few spots we've had luck with in the past.
Lures of choice today was rubber - Sluggos, Ledgerunner, Reel Eels and Surf Hogs.
These two big fish of the morning were taken on a Surf Hog (my cousin thanks you Eben) and a Sluggo. Many other fish taken but weather turned bad with lots of wind and rain so I kept the camera under cover.
Already looking forward to next year's trip.
