Ok - Yep, casting distance is important but a long jig drift is even more important. Guerrila fishing. Imagine a 30+#er whackin' your jig about 100 yards down current off to your left or right, out about 80 yards, in a 5 knot current, in 50' of water. That's a killer.

Saw ( and heard) our resident Brute do just that last Spring. He was yellin' " my arms are burning". And those aren't just normal arms - more like oak trees. He was so disconbobulated that he left his rod behind when he left with the fish.

Fishin' is fun - but, this kind of fishing can get ya up before dawn when you know you're nuts!
