To answer your questions Raven, sorry it took so long , those are called spray rails, sorry no pics of their install. I took mahogany and made some 3/4" quarter round and glued them on with thickened epoxy, used predrilled for screws to hold in place, then later filled those holes after removing the screws.
cost was about 1200
it weighs about 120 lbs, so I guess it was 10 bucks a pound
I still enjoy the boat with Danny but we don't get out enough with it, it seems each year it takes fewer and fewer trips
Dave, I never did get it to 15 hp. , part way though, I just need to get that needle changed some day
