Who cares what it weights. The guy is pumped he caught a damn nice fish. But of course, the so called "experts" have to make a stink because it doesnt look like the weight he claims. Who really cares!? Its a nice fish, leave it at that.

First off, nice fish and glad you enjoyed the hunt.

I really don't want to see this thread go down the tubes over fish size. Though it looks like the scale might be off a bit there is a chance the pic makes it look a lot smaller. Remember when Eben made that 20 inch fish look like a 30#er ?

I caught a 35" 25# fish 2 years ago. 40" 30# can definitely happen. He is supporting most of the fishes weight under the gut. So I think it is hard to judge the fishes girth. If he was lipping it, people would have bashed him for holding the fish wrong. Nice fish!
