What I find simply incredible is how people condone this over use of force when history has proven again and again that groups like Hezbolla are like a video game character who gets stronger each time you hit it.
Unless you can remove it's head, more innovative measures are required.
But it's gonna get much worse. From most accounts the charade of a more stable Iraq is falling apart even among the diehard Bush supporters. The civilian deaths and sectarian violence is rising at an alarming rate.
Rumor is even some GOP Congresspeople are starting to sing the Murtha tune...and you ain't gonna be able to call them liberal defeatists.

This brings us to one major component of World War Three which I feel has been ongoing now for some years. The head being all Muslims who advocate Jihad for Israel, The United States, all our allies, and any nation or people who oppose them. Its really overwhelming.

Radical Islam is the #1 threat in the world today. Please tell me we can all agree on this at least!

I'm more afraid of our government at this point doing something stupid, starting an all out war and a draft or something as equally insane being implemented than people 3000 miles away.

Nope...radical Islam is powerless without something to feed on.
The biggest threat to the USA is a loss of economic strength. We can't influence the root causes of terrorisim unless we have leverage.

But it's not any different than a passionate Trotskyite, and look where it got them!
The point being, radical Islam is nearly powerless unless it can feed from the non-radicalized world.
The forces that push resources and new souls to the dark side have little to do with Islam and everything to do with socioeconomic and political forces.
Certainly for some there is a pull from Islam, but it's weak on it's own...compbined with the push...now we have a problem
Just remember that 9/11 wasn't about gays getting married or Americans drinking too much lite beer. It was...in the attackers own words...a response to (perceived) oppression of Muslims by Western or Western influenced regimes in Palestine, Chechnya, Saudia Arabia, Uzbeckistan etc...
Bin Laden has been led to believe that a social system built on Sharia Law is what the Muslim world needs to regain it's former glory...it's more of a social movement than a religious one...just like those Trotskyites!
People get all caught up in the fanatic rhetoric, but Bin Laden does have a very good point. As far as Muslims are concerned...the current system is very corrupt and self serving.
That is the root of the problem, not the radicalisim itsself.

you missed the religious fervor which is all many Muslims have
and teachings from as soon as possible based on the holy jihad.
Tin foil hat = deadly directive = countless deaths attributed to terrorist acts world wide

You do realize the radicals are in the minority, and everything we've done so far hasn't gone very far in showing the rest that they're bad.

Minority? Not when Arab Nations sponsor numerous radical groups openly and never mind all the hidden funding.
We are on the list for Holy Jihad.

Very few groups are actually getting funding from nations.

This war on Terror is dumb
For one there's no real proof that 9/11 was an act of terrorism. I mean did we uncover any real evidence that it was Al Queta that bomb the world trade? 9 out of the 15 alledge highjackers are still alive.
The only real evidence we have really is the fake Bin Laden video which hell knows where it came from.
All in all, if we want to avoid terrorism in the U.S., why don't we spend money in securing our borders and boost up national security. Wait a minute, there's oil in the middle east and terrorists!
