Very nice fish and I don’t mean to take the wind out of your sails…
But, you better have that scale checked.
.
Having been in the seafood business for many years, I’ve handled more 37-38 inch Stripers on certified scales, than I can count and I have to agree with John on this one.
19 pounds I’m buying. 29 pounds? Sorry, no sale.
A real fat, healthy, late October fish of that length, that has gorged itself on Pogies and Macks all summer might weigh in at 23-24 pounds… tops, with a real full belly.

Again, in no way do I mean to diminish your fish, or question your veracity.
I just think you might have mistaken a one for a two in the excitement, or your scale is screwed up.
