Last week it was 4 days straight of quahogs, prepared various ways. Raw on the half shell, steamed, linguini with white clam sauce, and chowdered. You'd be surprised how far a peck goes between 2 people. About as far as the fillets from a 33 pounder. Beats dropping my dwindling funds at Stop & Shop.

Fortunately my wife can cook. If I ever get some bluefish, I'll see how she can rise to the ultimate challenge

i hear ya on that one.. one year maybe 20 years ago..i stayed with my grandmother for the summer on long island. I brought my thumb button reel (not sure what those are called) and rod and caught baby bloo fish from the beach all summer. lots of fun and those were tasty as i recall.

fast foward 20 years, im at thanksgiving, someone brings a smoked bluefish ordeurv (cold) and a dip... i take one bite and do all i can not to up chuck as i politely swallow the vial crap.

My favorite is to chop them into finger food sized pieces, bread them and fry on a pan....and vuala...striped bass nuggets...throw in a few cut lemons for the side, mmm they melt in your mouth
