It's just spitting in the wind. ASMFC more or less buried the subject at the recent meeting, turning things over to the technical committee. We'll see.

I've sent other letters with no apparent impact, but at least I feel like I'm participating. Talking to anyone at NEFSC of NMFS or ASMFC about the subject is like talking to a stump--especially at NEFSC. I got an answer there that dogs only eat squid, mackerel and herring, and that there's no chance migratory routes could be changing.

Problem is, if it's not striped bass being discussed, it's hard to get people actually doing something other than complaining to friends.

I'll keep sending letters if you will.
