Your right t J, it was rediculous. But ,to put things in perspective, back then a guy would make $1 an hour and a good set of spinners cost plus $100. To put it in todays $ it would be like someone stealin 3 or 4 Van Staals outa your truck.

Gotta admit, people learned to keep their hands off things that didn't belong to them.

Then in the old,old days, guys would use the 12 gauge trip wire cannon rigs to protect their cabins. Attached to the door knob, as an intruder would enter, it would trigger a load of double odd buck at your legs or higher.

Wouldn't want to use or see the reults of either one.

Yep JPI, the shotgun fulla buckshot pointing at the door with the trip wire.. 50's burglar alarm for the fishin or gunnin camp..
Full Moons, spinners, Half Moon and trim rings.. My older brothers 49 chopped and dropped ford with the shaved heads.. he had the razor blades welded in and on a few things. .as he went to voke tech in beautifull downtown Hartford CT... course this was the late fiftys early sixtys...that and trip wires and kill switches..
I came up a little later in life.. but my Tempest.. ya had to push the cigarette lighter in to make the connection, so it would start.. every generation has it's tricks of the trade

Here's another you may never have heard; Back 30 odd years ago, when Jenn and I were first married, some a-hole decided that it would be a good idea to steal my tools. And keep coming back for more. I gave him a hot wired electric drill. I just know that he plugged that thing in and pissed all over himself! He NEVER came back.

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.

Me to, I just put my old caps on seeing they leave them alone,
I should have known better than to think I could have something nice.
I would love to buy new ones and watch to see who steals them.

One Sunday I came outside and my boat was pushed out into the
middle of the street, someone realiezed the tounge was locked after they moved it.

Surfcasting Full Throttle

Don't judge me Monkey

I am so happy I am not alone! About 4 years ago the caps were missing from car, the truck, the bronco, the camper, the snowmobile trailer, the company truck......ALL OF THEM! My hubby was so mad because he has to buy the fancy ones too....

Little while later they found some kids in the neigborhood with coffe cans full of them. Them made the kids go around to return them and apologize....of course there is no chance of getting back the ones that were actually taken from you...

Simplify.......
