Got a couple of shore bones this AM. No albies just yet from shore that I know of. They should be here...any day. (last season they were in full force by now in the boat but I have not got one from a boat yet either) There have been a few boat albies caught but not many.
Lighter is better with bones (generally)

Those are some sweet lures you make...IMO they will work great.
As far as albies go...they put on one hell of a fight from shore...esp on a 9wt fly rod.
