Well as Ronnie has stated I do not post very often on the site. I would rather lurk and keep nice and quiet and let you guys catch all the fish and talk about it, but Ronnie has called me out this time... I will keep this as short and sweet as possible (no boring details). I was fishing aboard a friend of mine's boat called Tommy's Girl out of Plymouth @ my old marina. We fished Saturday most of the day trolling and live lining on the SW corner with 1 45 Lb'er to show.. Not a stellar day by any means. We had entered the green harbor shark tourney, and planned on fishing for shark Saturday all night and possibly pulling bars this morning (sunday). So we had to pick another buddy of ours @ green harbor @ 4PM last night. We head in and he hops onboard and we head back out to the SW. We get out there around 5 and get on the hook. We decided to let some bluefish swim for a while untill it got dark then we were going to start our slick for the night to shark. We were having dinner around 6:30 when we notice a huge mass a birds working about 1/2 mile from us, slowly coming our way. Getting closer closer closer.. no fish breaking surface, just birds doing the usual dive bombing. Then all of a sudden one of the 130's was peeling line like there was a lamborgini attached to the other end. Tommy started the diesels, and released the hook. Ray started to setup the harpoon, and I put the 130 to strike!! When that line went tight and kept ripping I was like wholly sh@!. This is the real deal. We had to chase down the fish or it would have spooled us! Ray and I took turns fighting the fish as my arm felt like it was on fire!! We brought the fish to the boat 7 times or so and everytime it got anywhere near the hull, the 50 yards or so we had just cranked up would be spooled right back out and then some in about 2 secs! Eigth time to the boat Ray stuck it, and then I tail roped it, we drowned/blead it, boated and cleaned it and that's all she wrote. Charlie wieghed just about 800 lbs. and dressed out @ 611 lbs. Now it's on it's way to Japan via Tuna FedEx... It was such a great feeling and I would hope/wish that every true fisherman/fisherwomen would get a chance in there lifetime to land a Giant!!!... Thanks again Ron for calling me out and I wish everyone tight lines.. Capt. Dave Tip-n- Ring

I could never catch a fish that big, it would either tow my boat like a fishing lure, or sink it. WOW, thats what you call a fish. Too bad its the one fish I don't eat!!
