I think that some of you don't know a Tounge IN Cheek Bloocrab report.
I just got a call from someone asking if this stuff was true, lots of drinking, food dropped in the sand, and if Bloo was picking on Clammer unnecessarily... Well, picking on Clammer is necessary ....
No, it was a great trip, even if Budweiser isn't just for breakfast anymore

Another excellent trip. Always great to introduce folks to a place like Cutty for their first time, to get together with friends met on this board, who share our common passion, and to know that with every cast you have the chance at a fish of your dreams. Great to have the original crew together again and to meet new face, Bob Hubbard. Specialist, you were missed. Big moon might as well have been an on/off switch.... Goose, milo, and Gilly once again put up a benchmark for us all, great smart fishing.
If fishing Cuttyhunk on boat or shore were easy, it wouldn't hold the mystique that brings me back with great anticipation. It can be hard fishing, which combined with hardcore fishermen, at a place like the Fishing Club, can't help but make for a great time.
For folks wondering about Bloo's report, try scrolling through some of his old posts....if you find a serious one, let me know...
As far as reports of imbibing, if there was two thirty packs consumed between eighteen guys, that would be on the high end. We were there to fish....and chit on one another
No trophy for me this year, eight or nine fish, most in the 28-32 inch range. Many on teaser....not what I would have thought, but that's how it goes sometimes. I chose to plug vs slinging eels. My choice.
The club was awesome. Had the place to ourselves, which made for 24/7 fishing getaway. That was the plan. Mission accomplished from my seat. That we got fish was just icing on the cake.
Thanks guys.

Good to know. Didn't meet Bloocrab. Would have liked to but other than Sunday I spent most of my time fishing, sleeping, or I had my face stuffed with sheppards pie. I'm also not exactly a social butterfly.

Friday afternoon, TDF and tattoobob trying to reach some working birds. Taken from the club lawn looking down to the east.

here is a nice shot of the club I borrowed from Fisheye
and another of the last spot I fished on the island last weekend but the swells and waves were much rougher than in this picture.
Thanks Clammer for posting the pics.
thanks Ross, great weekend

Here's a picture of one of the sexy anglers that weekend walking toward the Inn after relaxing on the new Cuttyhunk PINK lawn chairs...I think he was going to put on his dress pants for the big hurrah that night....

I had an awesome time... all drunken ballet aside
Got to fish with luds48 and tattoobob... these guys fish my style and we had a blast and a lot of laughs. We had some decent fish but not the cows we were looking for, it kept us busy and interested though. We fished it hard until we all fell asleep scattered about on the rocks... Bloocrab and Milo came by and found me piled against a rock asleep after the tide quit.
I'm convinced that the Bass Club is the most relaxing place on the planet and would recommend a stay there to anyone who wants to get away from everything for a while, even if you don't (gasp!) intend to fish.
Ross... thanks for doing the leg work you are the man! Great group of guys already looking forward to next trip.
