I don,t shop around or nickel in dime my purchases // I found out for the most part ya get what ya pay for ;;;;

I know for a fact that there are better prices around // but stay with the little guy ;;

how many times have ya been [helped] out by C/C /T or K/C/O & others like them //
is it truly worth the savings to buy at W/m or B/P/S

I have been buying my marine electronic,s from the same small guy for approX 30 years ;; I never check prices /I don,t even care what B/W gets for a @#$^ 123:;

Last wednesday After noon I realized I needed two connectors on the unit end of my D/F ;; I called the place & they had the three pin in stock but had to order the 10 pin // today at 9 this morning /approx 3 days past ==I received a call [/Mike your parts in /drop off the unit when ya can ;;
I did about 2:30 this afternoon ;;;while I was the /I pick up a new power cord for my GPS & one for my D/F ;I also asked him if he had any protective covers for the 182C /// Yep he looked around & found one // no charge ;;;
I came home & fell asleep // I was awakened by a phone call around 4 Pm ;; Mike , your units ready >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> some place else it wouldn,t havn,t even been shipped out yet // at your cost / & you would be lucky to get it back for the fall run ::::

Nickel & dime them & they nickel & dime you ><<><><

How true - deal with the people that treat you right. A few buks for the knowledge and service from local shops always comes back double.

And to boot - that Marine Electronics guy in Pawtuxet usually is priced better than West Marine... Great Knowledge and Service and Price - they do not need be exclusive of each other

Got to agree. How can you put a dollar amount on service like you get at M+D?
And as John pointed out , often you get the best price AND the best service from the local shops. .
