Mr. Hunters,

I read EVERYTHING I can get my hands on and on the web regarding this fishing thing. I do the same thing with all the dirtbiking I do, snowmobiling and streetbiking, I just love to read about it all when I can't do it. To me, it is the next best thing, even better than typing or talking about it. I do know that all the information regarding spots and areas has been written time and time again in The Fisherman and in On The Water and on all the various forums and weekly reports out there, although I know there are secret and even double secret probation spots that no one knows about, but I it really does have to do with putting in the time and trying all the different spots and various techniques, which I do. Like the hunch I had last night, I had to get out and go, I did and it worked out. There is a good reason the derby doesn't start until it does. When they say look on the navigational charts for holes or humps, I do it. I probably spend way too much time looking at all the charts because I can only daydream about being on that water and seeing if the lines match up with the actual rips, which they never do but they put you in the ballpark. I do try all sorts of different things, and if they don't work, I'll try them again because some ha said/written that they work. Fortunate are we that others have been so willing to share what they know and that I have benefitted from their benevolence. Sometimes, just once, I would like to meet those people and shake their hand and thank them but I think they know what they do, much like I'd like to find my childhood friend who taught me how to ride a dirtbike/motorcycle. I have tried more new spots this season than any other because I wanted to branch out and experience new things and it has all paid off. Overall, when they say to keep trying, they are right.

Now on the other hand, if I had to tell you all the years I had gone out and gotten absolutely NOTHING time after time after time, you wouldn't want to hear it.
