That's a big reel Joe. You're going to need a lot of whiplash!

It will handle 65 lb but be sure to keep the drag adjsuted down where you would keep it if fishing mono. That line at 65 pound will break the rod if you clamp down the drag.

I think the braids are better on more moden design reels with tapered spools and more sweep front and back when laying down the line. If the reel just lays the braid down pretty paralell , you could have rtouble with the line sliding over an adjacent wrap.

Anyway , if it was me and I was going to Cuttyhunk , I'd want old reliable , not something new that could be a problem.
