Say what you will about her but she did a fine job and she represented both recreational and commercial fishing interests with equal respect. She attended many many meetings on Striped Bass management and othern issues such as beach closures, restrictions and our old friends the plovers.

Here's one to Benjy and hope and positive thoughts for a change in prognosis.

I don't know if I can make it but I will certainly try.

Why even try.........

Very True Flap.. while I didn't always see eye to eye with her, I always respected her. She is the real deal. Enjoyed her serious in depth articles, much more than the weekly schmooze.. "reports"..
I know, those have there place, and sell papers, and keep the bait shops happy.... but.. they did draw a crowd sometimes too.. and sometimes for no good reason.
But you are right, she was always there for both the comm and recs, and always a supporter of access.
Not looking like I will make it Friday night.. got some shifts to fill at work.. night guy broke his ankle on a side job.. but hope there is a good turn out for her.
(Not looking like I will make the seashore thing on Saturday AM either.. .. hope there is a good turn out for that.. too!)

I hope this turns around for her, and she can keep doing what she loves.

As some said, "love her or hate her", she was/is another one of those "personalities" in the history of Cape Cod saltwater fishing. Would love to answer the phone at the shop and she would say "whatdoyougotformebabe?" for her weekly reports, then a short, horsey chuckle.

I'll be there Friday night, because I think she was always there....
