R.I.P. Molly, and Thanks For All you did.

Columnist Molly Benjamin spins her last fish tale
HYANNIS - Molly Benjamin, who wrote unforgettably about the Cape Cod she loved, especially its fishing and people, died today.
Her daughter notified the Cape Cod Times about her mother's death in mid-afternoon. Her death came just a few days after Benjamin was present at a benefit in her owner in Provincetown last Friday.

That's how many heard about her fast-spreading liver cancer that was untreatable.

Benjamin, a fisherman in Provincetown who had moved to Wellfleet in recent years, had worked at the daily newspaper for about 25 years where she wrote fishing and outdoor columns, according to Editor Paul Pronovost.

"It's a huge loss for the Cape Cod Times and for Cape Cod," he said. "Molly had a spirit, a soul that gave color to our pages that is now lost. She had a way of making fishing columns must-reads for people with no interest in fishing. That's a huge talent."

Read more about Benjamin in tomorrow's Cape Cod Times.
