Jesus was a fisherman . . .

. . . that much I know, but what kind of fisherman?

I know his birthday is coming up and there is much ado regarding this very popular man around this time of the year, but what did he fish for?, or what did he catch?, how did he fish? I wonder.

Was he a shore guy or did he fish from a wooden boat? Was he a bottom guy, did he throw wood or was he a bait fisherman? What kind of fish did he catch? Do you think he shared his most productive spots with the apostles?, did they fish too? Did he have any good fishing buddies and if so, who were they?, or was he a solitary fisherman?

I wonder about these things. Did he handline?, or did he have some sort of pole?, or did he use a net of some sort. I wonder if he was a good fisherman at all, did he catch large or was he happy with catching whatever he caught. I'm sure as the son of God, he might have been able to get some pretty darned good info on spots, migrations or it could have been that there were so many fish around in his time that it was just that easy to catch and so many fish that one could have literally walked accross the backs of them. I'm sure it helped that he could walk on water, imagine all the spots, never mind the access one would have if one could walk on water? After all his time was A.D. and before he was born it was B.C., maybe that stood for Before Catching.

I used to see the Jesus fish on cars, or the symbol back then and wondered what it was all about thinking I would like one since I liked to fish and it was then that someone told me that Jesus was a fisherman. Was he a Rec. or a Comm.?, although I don't think they even had limits or needed permits back in his day.

I do wish Jonah had written more too, I would like more info on what it was like being inside that whale or I'd like to know how Moses was able to part the sea or at least influence the tide but as for Jesus, there are so many things that I'd like to know with regards to the fishing he did but realize that my questions might never have answers.
