Sooner or later you're going to realize just as I did that there's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. - Morpheus

good for you Krispy. i thought my commute was loopy - yours is (will no longer be) ridiculous.

well, it could be worse, like the poor schlubs who take the bus to manhattan...from the poconos.

I got an Olympus 720 SW. I held off on buying something until a camera came out that was SHOCKPROOF AND WATERPROOF since in all my travels and travails, that is, fishing, boating, snowmobiliing, dirtbiking and all of it, I couldn't have a camera that I have to worry about getting fish guts and slime all over, or if it got wet from rain or getting splashed or if it got accidentally dropped or knocked over or down, how many know someone who's $200-300 camera was ruined from a drop or from moisture/wetness?, so I had to wait and shoot from disposable cameras until now.

The camera can take a 5 foot drop and go under 10' of water and work just fine. The specs on the camera only put it in the middle of the class in about every category but I'm not shooting for a magazine, just for me and to pollute the internet with my silly pictures, I might just put the free into freelance so if I get pictures better than the disposable cameras I had been using for years other than the late 80's/early 90's Nikon 35mm/point and shoot I had through college then I'm really ahead.

I really like the option to go Hi-Res/Super High Quality for the shots when I would like to blow it up to 8X10 then go to a lower res. for shots I just want to post online or send via email.
