Let's get this party started

Christmas is over, Plugfest coming, time to start building. Come on you guys, Eddy, Flap, Paul, others.......whatcha hiding? Here are two to get the juices flowing. Gave a third to Flap.....which is a waste 'cause he's got too many to start........a fourth is waiting for a repaint. Did pretty well with these things this year, even better with the bigger ones.

well anytime you wanna lose one in my plugbag, it's fine by me George

I gotta get going on something this weekend I guess.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Okay, here's what I have started lately. The needle with the bent thru wire weighs 2-3/4 oz. and should tend bottom well or keep down in a running tide. The big danny has a modified NJ Tackle atom lip I bent up myself.

All but a few are recent, about 20 more waiting for some wire to come in so I can assemble. About another 65 bodies turned/sanded waiting to be drilled.

You came to sites on top of the heap George ,, fantastic work ,, 20+ yrs. building shines...I just did a 10 swap over there.. just turning bodys (predators)... I'm changing sealer,, experimenting,,, I'm getting set up with new stuff,, couple of things $$$$.. I have 8 handcarves knockoffs..Big O ,,bomber,,cordell,,Gary2,,top gun, plastic type stuff.. I gotta get to work on needles soon for the bag .. want to fish knockoff Pichney pocket rockets next year . Had darter revelation to stop splitting want to work on that.. Lots to do so little time .. I wish winter was longer ,. .. You taught me handcarve last year George .. thanks for that... is 4 hrs a long time to make a body ?.. Crash .. Blue/whites look mint .. can you slow sink them ,, vary depth slightly adjusting speed of retrieve ? even bring them on top at slow retrieve ..

Awesome stuff, Fred. Amazing finish on those Atom/Surfsters. And the squid, are they topwater or subsurface plugs? Please post some closeups when they're done.

Did somebody say rockets? I have a few ready for tails - cannot make up my mind on feathers and colors. Black feathers and some white bucktail for good measure. Rockets for the swap!

The colors on the rockets appear blue, but are actually black with Violet Pearl X pigment rubbed over it. Grey to blue bellies with a touch of red flash.

Brother ,sounds like Spence talkin'.

The blue thing are off center turned swimmers. found them in the reject box and finished them. The little squids are very slow sink level needles. One of my staple plugs, a skin will fit over them, too. Clinton cobwebs, they realy light up in the flash, don't they? On the little blue things that look like Minne Balls are skin jigs, maple filled with lead. They'll also carry a curly tail.

No awesome paint like you guys, but they look decent, and swim like mad. The burple/black will dive real deep, 7-10 if you let er rip. Does 2-3 on a moderatly slow retrieve, wide, eratic, sweeping action. The wannabe surfster is an owesie, and on its way to north carolina friday.

Paul - you are a craftsman. I was impressed when I saw one of them at M&D, but seeing them finished I now can only say WOW. Beautiful work. You have to give me a lesson on offset turning.
