3oz Darters

Good news and bad news

Bad news: All of the people that have previously requested darters sent me emails or pms. I wrote them all down on a piece of paper that was not to get lost, needless to say I lost it.

Good news:

50 Darters ready for color.

If you want them let me know ASAP. $15 dollars each.

Color choices are:

Solid Black
Black and Purple
Solid Yellow
Yellow and White
Blue and White
Pink and White
Parrot
Yellow with Red Head
White with Red Head
Chartruse ansd White
Solid White

And any other color within reason.....

8 darters left as of 10:48am on 10/07/02.

Still trying to get a hold of Tlapinski and Bloocrab.

I know those guys were on the list that got lost, I mean misplaced.

I also have about 150 darters that just need to be sanded and paitned. Estimated time frame is about 2 weeks on those, so if you dont get in on this batch, there is always the next.

"a Darter?" = A lure that ... ..darts

"What fish does it catch?" = it doesn't catch anything...but retrieved in the proper fashion, it produces species like Morone Saxatilis as well as Pomatomus Saltatrix (do your homework boy )

"Is it a productive bait?" = only as productive as it's Master

"Is it home-ade?" = you need to visit the plug-making forum - YES!

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

Unhappy Darter--What fish does it catch...

John---There should be like a basic test here before anyone can post on the main boards. There should be a probationary board for the "learning times".

if you think $15 is expensive in this sport, maybe you should think of another sport. only the best hardware and workmanship goes into these lures. a beachmaster goes for about the same, with no hooks usually. a gibbs, well, we'll leave them alone. they have enough problems. look at the yozuri's, just short of $15. i think these are a deal for $15.

...15$ expensive???...do you have any hobbies young man?...do you wear Nike sneakers or the [Bloo-light] specials from K-mart??? Doesn't Nike make a better shoe??..Well Mikey makes a better lure! ...Its called Quality over Quantity!!! ......or is it that mommy still pays for your sneakers and you couldn't convince her to buy you a 15$ lure. I'm not picking on you...don't take it that way. Just don't start dis-crediting things you don't yet understand.

StarsnStripers and Sniper, grasshoppers - you must learn to walk before you run.

It's obvious that you are enthusiastic about fishing for bass & blues but it would be unwise to try to digest everything available, all the time, about fishing for bass. You can't and shouldn't because you'll miss a lot of discovery along the way... There is a lot to learn and nobody knows it all. But before you can carve your own little niche, you need to try a few different ways, over time.

$15 for a SPECIALLY DESIGNED HIGH QUALITY plug is not expensive. Yeh it hurts if you lose it on a fish or snaged on a rock but that's a fact of life, Necessary evil, whatever you want to call it.

Also, these big plugs take some more specific gear and locations to work. You're less likely to use this on the south side of Conimicut point and more likely on a rip that forms off some ledge where the Bay Meets the Ocean.

All I'm saying is keep your eyes, ears, AND mind a little more open, that's all. There is a lot of experience on the boards, some on top and some you need to dig at a little. Some warm and some brash, but it's there. Watch and listen...

... and guys, give the kid a little break, he's still young & innocent

You all are Mistaken me , just because i FISH with Starsnstripers,, He IS 14 ,, i am Not..

And I don't like he fact of being called a "grasshopper" ,,I'm Not Trying to make enemys here,, all i'm saying is if that's what you find fun ,,, Pick On Some-one Else! LOL

Hey, $15 is sort of Expensive for a lure,,i'm sure it' crafted Mint and alot of time goes into it ,,, and i yes i've seen them $18 Yozuri Squids .. They are Great as well

Tattoo,
I would love to have one of them in my Tackle Box,,And Maybe when i have an extra $15 i will put in an order because it sounds like one hell of a lure that can catch some serious fish!

and No my "mommy" wont buy me one LOL (just playing)
HEY maybe i shouldn't get into another sport,,,just because i can't dish out $15 for a lure , Right Now.. Does not mean i don't have what it takes to be a True Dedicated Fisherman , Right ?

I didn't Mean for that to turn out that way ,, No Offence to you Tattoo.. Or to Any who may have been offended... It's All Good..
