Great plug made very sporadically by a very bright fellow on Long Island. Not sure if they are sold in stores or which one (someone might want to chime in if they know).I know they were at one time. The new batch that was made few months ago was painted by BM (don't know if this is a favor or standard arrangement going forward).Kind of hard to get unless you live on LI and even then you need to ho them.I only own one (goes to show you how much in the loop I am )
Regardless ,buy them when you can ,a great fast water lure

I'm pretty sure they made a bunch for Ron Dietrich, which he offered thru his Coastal Tackle catalog back in the day. Ron must have brought them along when he hooked up with the original VS guys, because I think they were also listed in the first (and as far as I know, only) Van Staal Tackle catalog.

The Koelwyns became a sponsor of the MV Derby in the mid-90s and published one general tackle catalog, featuring not only the reels, but custom rods built by Ronnie, and a host of other tackle--bulk spools of line, termininal gear and some lures, including North Bar as I recall. They passed the catalog out at the Derby headquarters, which is where I picked up my copy.

Of course, VS being VS, everything in the catalog was a good 25-50% higher than you could get it almost everywhere. Which is why I'm pretty sure it was their first and only general tackle catalog

I think Doc Muller, in his brief fling at lure making, made something similar which he called a "Throttle Bottle".

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.
