The yellow one weighs in at just over 2-1/2 oz, the smaller one is 2 oz. the yellow swims well slowly wobbling across the surface the other goes deep on a slow steady retrieve with an occasional pulse.
The pink towel is because I live in a house full of women and it's me and the cat against the world but he and I loose more often than not.
The heads were formed with the belt sander on the curve.
I am on a no lip kick. I am holding my Plugfest entry in my hand and it blows away these two. Others coming. I am going back to the lab in a few minutes. My Badger awaits.

Very nice!
Question from a newbie: What makes the yellow wobble across the surface, while the black one(which is lighter) dives, they appear to have similar front darter angles? Is it the surface area on the front angle? Surface area of the entire plug? Length of the yellow one? Wood type?
Thanks love learning from you guys!

Eddy, as I sit here at my computer I can look up over it on the wall I have a dolphin (Dorado) mounted about 15 pounds and hanging from it's mouth is an old beat up red/white Bass-a-reno. That was my inspiration.
George, if I had used the better camera you would indeed see some hairs. So there they are mine.
I just coated a couple more.

GF, no, the weighting was played with in several different spots (thank God for Famowood Filler) but with all things considered like weight of hooks swivels etc. it eneded up they were weighted pretty close to normal lacations just a wee bit aft of the foreward treble.

I love 1900 & 2100 Series Creek Chub Poppers but wanted something a bit heftier so....
And one of the best color Needlefish was Basmaster red/black so I made this one to tend the bottom. It weighs 4 oz and is six inches long and sinks just perfect like a submarine does level.
