Hey Jimbo - You could go with a Yakima (
www.yakima.com) rack which is very similar to the Thule. The racks come with special "feet " to attach to roof of your truck and the rain gutters. A couple bars span across the truck. Ski racks are attached to the bars and then you can lock up your rods. This is similar to the setup that I have on my truck. I always drive with the butt of the rods forward. The larger ski racks can hold about six rods with reels no problem. Check out the site and put all your truck information in and it will tell you what you need. Good luck.
