I went to a harbor Sunday, but it took me 1-1/2 hours to get there, so it's safe to say it wasn't Boston. Caught more rat (too damn small for my liking, but it's early) stripers than you could shake a stick at, a dozen or so 8-12 lb blues and one monster 40+ inch something. Just when I'd worked her close enough to say sh*t I'm in trouble (8.8 lb test, 2000 series reel, light rod) even after spending 5-10 minutes getting her close, I see 3 twins swimming beside...snap and gone. I think bass, too damn long to be a blue, and the fight was too bass like. Would have been sweet to land a 20-30 lber on that light line, but it was fun none the less. I was hoping to get into some hickory shad and although I found some feeding, I could get any bites. What would people that fish for them regularly classify as the top 3 lure choices, I'd like to be better prepared next time down.
