I agree with you Tagger....I think folks tie those Breakaways on backwards....I have almost done it myself a time or two! Its easy to do because unless you are paying 100% attention...both ends look almost alike! I also think if you are seeing alot of action, on occasion those Breakaways can turn around on you with the line sliding from one end to the other....so you have to check them once in awhile. I have never had a problem with them! I frequently change my offering and feel its alot safer than tying a new knot as often as I would have to....now there is where you increase your chances for failure in my opinion.....tie more knots and eventually one may let you down. Just my .02 cents.

i like 90# rosco snap swivels with the swivel cut off ( so its just a snap) and 100# rosco swivels

Larry hit it right on the head. I use breakaway clips only and have never had one fail me. Ease of changing is always important when you have bad hands. I cannot open a snap due to arthrius and the breakaway is fine. The only time I use a swivel is when the jig is acting strange like coptering, or if I tie a fluro leader to my mono leader. Oh - I only fish conventional.
