i just put them on the kitchen table and point the trac lights at them, make sure the table is clean too. no flash and a steady hand. there's a little flower button on my camera. i don't know what it means but the pictures come out nicer after i push it. i think it's for close ups.
if the sun is coming thru the window even better.
