I'm going to triple down on the search tool. I love following the ongoing discussions, but when I have a real burning question, SEARCH and then presto its done. I tell you, this site has about 100 fishing books in it, with some of the strangest yet most relevant chapters. I dunno why I keep buying fishing books...its all here...all the time...

I happen to prefer lamiglass rods.Of all the comapnies making rods for the surf they IMO are the only ones who get it.'
If I had to chose in 9 ft spinning the xs 901ms or in 10' the xs 101 ms.These are built on the GSB "graphite surf blanks" in the coresponding lengths 108 an 120 ..inches.In the Medium 'M' power range..
U can google lamiglas to see what they offer.
The actuall suggested weight ratings are a litlle off though.I would say in the ten footer the optimum weight rating would be 2.25 oz an in the 9 fter 1.25. so if u have lures in them ranges which most surf lure fall into u should be alright with one of them 2.I prefer the longer rods some like em shorter..

FORE!
It's usually darkest just before it turns Black..
