Wrap some Solder around the shank of hook be if you need extra weight.

What size hook is that? I'd be willing to bet that someone that makes lures and pours their own tail weight would be able to make the same type thing? Maybe..?? Just a suggestion because that lead looks an awful lot like MikeCC's tail weights

I might try that with a 10/0 hook I've got

homemade snag hook

I have also seen homemade snag hooks in which wire is wrapped around the shank of a large treble, then looped under the hook and through the eye of a bank sinker. So the bank sinker hangs under the hook. The advantage is you can use as heavy a sinker as you wish and the lead stays out of the way of the hook. Sorry, but I don't have a picture.
