As far as cooling: IF you increase melt from the Greenland ice cap, and make the oceans a bit warmer you can slow down the conveyor belt of the Gulf Stream and actually cool Europe and that part of the world. Global warming doesn't mean uniform temp increases across the world. take it or leave it.
