I'm back in a car this year, 16 mpg in a truck just gets old when the fishing is good and I'm going every day. Roof rack is on and I'm ready to go.

Obviously a truck or SUV is the ideal fishing vehicle (or necessary, if you like the sand), but I'll still be fishing and traveling to where the fish are when I otherwise would have been looking at a gas pump in fear.

I'll be fishing as hard this year as I did last year, and keeping more money in my pocket. Hopefully Newport will produce better all season long and I won't have to travel as much this year.
