Plenty strong enough for most applications and you don't have to use all in a day or two. My stone counter guys use it (RTV variety). You can lift the kitchen island by the top once it's cured.

everything has its place.
5200 is great to seal and hold.
lifecaulk makes a nice seal that you don't need a jackhammer to break.
epoxy is good for permanent hard fixes.
etc....

That 5200 is really amazing stuff for most repairs. It stands up forevever and is very strong. If you have a real serious problem and need a lot of bulk strength then I agree, the west system epoxy is problably the way to go. But for something that comes out of a tube...that stuff is impressive.

Gentlemen, I must disagree. 5200 is good but the BEST sealent is Bostiks 920 fast set urethane sealent . Fresh/salt ,wood /glass, stainless/glass this stuff lasts for years and sticks to anything . I have not yet found anything except Teflon that it won't stick to . Comes in black and white tack free in less than 90 mins. Also less $$$$.
