I've never caught any fish inside the hurricane barrier, but I do know that there are guys who fish it all year round. I've had them tell me that they fish from shore there at a place called the 'hot club'. I've tried a couple times in the winter from boat, but never had any luck...yet
I have caught fish fishing from Bold Pt. in E. Providence, just on the other side of the Seekonk river. I usually fish that area in the spring rather than the end of the season, but just two weeks ago the projo fishing report said people were catching schoolies and decent-size blues.
