For all of you who (Lurkers Included) that are headed to Newport to do some squidding I have a special request and advice. Please bring a plastic bag and clean up the area you're fishing, even if it's not your litter. This is so very important as city officials get a little worked up every squid season and threaten to shut the place down to fishing when litter starts to accumulate. Make me happy, the city happy, and have a good time but please try and keep the area clean. Our access depends on it.
