Well that pearl white with pink sides canal special pencil popper there did real well today, 6 fish, the first a keeper size more than 31" I'd say. First serious shore trip of the year for me this afternoon Sat. AM will be my first canal trip. Many hits on lots of my plugs but the only hookups were on that pencil.
I lost that little seeker spook there Tagger I had a windknot and it went poof, did have a few hits/follows on it first anyway, guess I need to make more and use the correct line and rod for those smaller plugs.
I did find that my 120 1M lami does well with a 3-1/4 oz pencil, especially with the wind at my back.
