John you wanted to hear the fishing

was terrible right? Well ok, it was bad, not a bite all morning and your lucky you were sick and couldn't make it.

Tight lines.

ps: F.W. I'd kind of like to get in on that "all girls day" , lol. If I promise to bring lots of extra plastic samples?

I don't know GS. It might be better to freeze my butt of and not catch anything than to have this cold/flu/whatever shut me down for the week... toss up, knowhatimean? Sorry to hear that the trip didn't work out as hoped but we could be seeing brighties in a months time ;D

Now don't weasel yourself into ladies night out!! Could be the start of bad things man :P ...

I would just like the guided tour of the hot spots on the cape and some better looking companions for the day doesn't sound bad either, lol.

Actually if you consider 17+ fish bad, then yesterday was a bad one John . Hope you can shake free soon, tight lines.

Lilith-fish, get it?? (not to be rude to that cause)

But I do take some offense to your "Octoberfish" remark. Just because the ladies didn't show doesn't mean the invite wasn'y made. On the other hand, us "guys" may have felt a little slighted not to be graced by the female corner of this site :P

How-about Mermaids?? I'm just killing myself [img=http://www.striped-bass.com/Images/evil.gif]

GS, we'll hav a couple informal meets this year too but let FW and Sqidmama show the south cape ropes to Jenn, et al...

Only joking girls, but you'd probably be better company than the majority of the guys I fish with, lol. Some of the guys I take out want that instant hookup, constant action, just can't enjoy the total package. FW I do want to hook up with you and Bill and hit that cape milk run you mentioned previously. You and Bill just let me know when the bite is on. You go girls, have at it, probably kick our butts anyway.

Tight lines.

17 Fish, huh?? Well that ain't no bad day G'Stripers. I'd push my sick self through that no problem...
But I'll tell you, a couple places FW&BC hit you do have it all; terrificly outstanding scenery, warm winds, fun time, and oh yeah, alot of instant action and constant hookups... Not always but more often than not...

Sounds good to me, I'd just like the idea of some fresh water, some new friends and the fast fishing isn't sounding too shabby either. I keep holding a spot in my boat for you, but you keep d#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g me. I'm beginning to think you just aren't really all that excited about fishing, lol.

Passed an invite to Jenn, maybe a weekend get together, since your probably busy again ha-ha. Pretty soon, I'm making the switch (yeah sorry) to fresh water. Love that early season bite for some big bass, pickeral and a cooler full of yummie crappie filets. By the time the striped beasts are heating up down the end of your street, I figure I'll be ready to be talked into switching back. It usually doesn't take all that much convincing, lol.

Tight lines and give me a heads up on the weekend plans. I usually like to pick the warmer/less windy of the two, but I'm flexible.

Tight lines.

My brother in law just informed me that he's coming down from Ellsworth ME on Thursday and will need a ride into Logan Saturday. I dread to even ask him what time, because I think it's early. Might try to sneak down to the Thames on Friday with him, but time and weather will tell.

I might still be able to go Saturday if his flight is early enough, but Sunday did look to be the warmer of the two days anyway. Drink plenty of fluids, get lot's of rest and maybe the boss (we married men {insert whip cracking noise here} all know what that means haha) will let you out to play this weekend. I'll get back to you on the day, but let me know what the odds are of getting you out, otherwise Jenn will get the nodd, lol.

Tight lines.

Cool, let's keep our options open (Sat or Sun) if we can. I should know on my airport duties later this week, but let's watch the good old extended weather forecast tonight and see what's cooking.

If the men tried to have an all mens (no ladies) anything , the women would all start squaawking and whining , etc. I'm really surprised they even suggested something like that. Shows you that when it comes to hurting peoples feelings , the women are just not as sensitive as the men Personally , my feelings were hurt . Probably the others guys feelings were too.

John, can't you edit this stuff before it get's out of hand, lol. Hey Jenn, I've got room for 2 others and you were certainly going to get the invite for that 3rd spot. I've been trying to get John out for months and he's always busy, got family stuff to do or the pour baby has a sniffle. He's had the standing invite since January, but he's really not hard core if you know what I mean haha.

It's vertical fishing so 3 in the boat isn't a problem, but if you have plans north than maybe later. I can't say how much longer I'll be heading down there, as the freshwater bite is starting to get going. I also hear that March can be tough down there, because the wintering stripers start to spread out down river ie; harder to locate.

Tight lines.

ps: John & Jenn Sunday, be there or be square.

If you have a 6 to 6-1/2 foot M or MH freshwater spinning rod, spooled with 6-8 # mono than you could bring that. I'm using a 6-1/2 foot rated for 6-10# mono and 1/8-5/16 oz lures. You don't want a light trout rod, because your fishing deep and need M or MH action so you can feel the light takes, but a heavy action is too stiff. If not don't worry, I have spare stuff for you and Jenn, if she comes along. I'm using hand pours, along with some store chartreuse Bass Assassins in 4" with the paddle tails, but again I've got that covered. Basically meet me and make sure you have appropriate gear (like your going ice fishing or skiing) to stand in the cold all day. Layers and lot's of them, like my mom used to tell me, you can always take them off but.....

I'll have a cooler on board so any lunch/drinks you want to bring. Oh yeah and a camera for the lovely scenic views, lol. Actually I'll have the digital and I really should snap a pic of the dump. I'll give you a call tonight if your around, we can discuss where to meet.

Tight lines

ps: Jenn what about you in or still heading north?

GS....geez! I have to say this hurts!!!! Yes, I am still going north.....every year for my B-day we make one last trip to the Northeast Kingdom for a finale of snowmobiling and racing........this is comarable to being offered a grape lollipop! I start with the grape....and THEN I am offered an orange one.....well since I have already eaten part of the grape one...there is no going back! I now dont have any choice....
My next free day is the following sunday (starting to sound like John huh??? LOL) so if by chance youre going and you are going to be lonely...... (hey, it doesnt hurt to try right???? )
Thanks again for the offer and sorry that I must decline (believe me.....if it werent for the unpredictable snow.....have to take it when I can get it you know)
