well, the lad was shooting 350 gr bullets (I would have preferred 700 gr or better yet just go to a .375 H&H mag rifle round), probably to manage recoil.
the .500's are not bad shooting the lighter 350 grain bullets. an 11 year old kid could do it, i don't know how accurately. the 700 grains are BEASTS tho.
16 rounds over 3 hours! i prefer a one-shot one-kill myself, but that's a kid who stuck with it. i don't see any blood coming out of the pig's mouth, which means the boy probably didn't get a good heart/lung shot in. if you look closely at the pics you'll see several entrance wounds above the gut.
