I have not found Surfland to be a very realiable source for eels. Might want to look for a shop that has more consisten stock up that way.

That's strange, I've always had good luck with getting eels at Surfland. They even sell them in two different sizes, bigger ones for surfcasting and smaller ones for drifting from the boat. They even give me some seaweed to throw on top of them in my eel bucket. Small local shops are the best!

I almost forgot, if you're up that way and can't get eels from Kay then there's a few places in Salisbury that sell them. There's Bridge St. Tackle (I think?) just over the bridge from Newburyport on Rt. 1, Elm St. Tackle on Rt. 110, and Tom's (again, I think that's right) on the way out to Salisbury beach. All are run by nice people and have good prices on eels.

Not Surflands fault.
The truck delivering the eels to the area blew the motor. They tryed to off load the eels to a van and while in trans port they blew the transmission line. anyone want to buy a bunch of stinky eels

I'd have to disagree with you Mike, I've always found Kay and the crew to be reliable on everything ... if they can't get a bait, it's the same for others in the area ...

I love that shop. More tackle in there than any other shop I've been in. Just had bad luck with eels. I've only been looking for eels in there a few times so I should probably cut them more slack. Kay is the best!

yeah I love the shop too and have never had any issues with a lack of eels, so that is why I was just wondering what you guys thought.
