Thanks guys, that fish was a complete suprise. I was just lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time. I've been fishing ridiculous hours for the past 2 weeks. 2 hrs sleep last night... I had jigged 4 + hours of the west thru dawn for a pair of 20" fish, and slack came and went with no topwater action at all. I'd started jigging the east without any luck at all and as the current really picked up steam some nice back eddies were forming coming off some rock piles. It looked very fishy so I took a break from the jigging and was just casting blind and working it very slowly through the eddies. The fish simply came up from under it and inhaled it.

WOW
Congrats on that fish Dave, you earned it.
great to see you get a big fish on one of your own plugs
determination goes a long way
I'm happy for you

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Hours of effort, refusing to quit, paying attention, trying something different, trusting your own wood......doesn't sound like luck was much of a factor. Not at all.
