day off tomorrow.. worth the ride to drive out to truro/ptown/wellfleet area?

a yes or no would suffice... particular spots not required.

if not.. i have no problem lurking the canal area all day.

with a wind change the canal could be the better place to be for fish of size from shore

Good health and family

I have ben out there for four days straight now, on Monday we had a classic blitz for 3 hours with fish up to 36 inches, some big bluefish also and Hickory shad mixed in hitting the plugs pf all things. Yesterday we caught 4 little micros for six hours of surfcasting. It's day to day and they are moving so you never know. Big swells from the southeast making it hard to fish and the water in some places is dirty from the storms.

You never know though, thats why I go back each day but it dropped off 180 degrees from Sunday and Monday.

Also two of the guys I fished with got sealed in the middle of the blitz, one snapped off right away but the other played the seal until his stradic started to actually get hot and he needs new drags washers.

Valiant attempt though.

Why even try.........

Gutsy Bender's is no longer. It's bee razed and now it's an empty lot. Anytime is a good time to drive out there.

So I went..

It ended up being a little windy/rainy... but man... we both had 27" bass on the first cast (squid).... and then got several more "almost" keepers as the day went on...

We only had 4 hours to fish... but we had a blast...

We tried a spot bayside to use up the rest of our sandeels... We stayed a few minutes, decided it looked lame - there wasnt another soul there... and started to leave... As we were packing, two old salts pulled up and asked where the fish were any why we were leaving.... They convinced us to stick around, and in the next 30 mins, we had several more "almost" keepers and about 5 more guys showed up.... Guy next to us caught a nice blue too...

Wish I had more time...

Definitely going back SOON
