NEW SLUG-GO
Two weeks ago , Herb Reed from Lunker City, was kind enough to let me field test his new 12 inch rigged black Slug-go. It is rigged with 2 7/0 live bait hooks and weighs 3 oz. un-weighted. The 12incher casts great and has a little different action than the 9inch job. I'll admit that fishing has been kinda slow but I've caught 9 bass on this new lure up to 28 lbs. in the last couple of weeks. By the way, the 12inch slug-go is made from a different , tougher rubber so it stands up better than the other sizes. I'm still using the same one that caught the 9 bass with no visible wear or rips. Herb said that this new model will be available soon both rigged and un-rigged. Also the un-rigged 12 and 9 inch models will be available in packs of 6.

Steve are you rigging it like the 9 incher or just using the pre-rigged unweighted? Do you work it the same way as the 9 incher?

12 inch Slug-go
Whhen they are available to all of us, I'll probably rig the 12 incher like the 9 inch job but with much larger hooks, 8 or 9/0, and add 3 wights like the 9 inch one. This is a BIG bait and the hooks in the rigged one are not large enough in my opinion.
