Sucks so far from the surf.
I've actually slowed my fishing down as well, until a classic summer weather pattern evolves.
I'll wait out for consistent S-SW winds and the dog days of hot and humid nights, before I make a big push again and start pulling all-nighters.
The fish are around, just not close in. E and N winds have kept bait outside the surf zone and until sou'westerlys (more than the 1-2 days in row so far this year) move bait and fish back into casting range it will remain slow.
Certain areas will benefit from bunker dropping out of the bay, but the guys who reg. fish those places are likely to be the only ones who'll capitalize on the situation.
Ive read all sorts of theorys, including bunker have created a fish vacauum!?! I think we just need to wait for weather to cooperate and go back to what works.
Just my theory (JMT)

Sooner or later you're going to realize just as I did that there's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. - Morpheus
