Roswell NM - what do you think?

Not sure if anyone heard about this yet, but one of the guys that supposedly witnessed the incident wrote an affidavit to his experience, not to be released until after his death. Here is a link with a little background as well as the text of that affidavit. Scoll down a little for the text....

				as a very young kid

		i had a close encounter of the third kind.....and i'm very serious...now

he had on a grey-blue jump suit and no chin...

and spoke to me telepathically... "don't be afraid"

he (it) ..seemed friendly enough so

i wasn't afraid... to young to have fear then...

the memory was repressed until i

was in my late teens but then i remembered

it all...looking to my left and seeing him...

thinking he had a very strange face.

that's all i remember...the rest hasn't

re-surfaced yet
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
...one afternoon in my 12th year of life

i saw a cigar shaped ship

while on my paper route in Auburndale, mass

.... i stopped to look at it...thinkin ...what is that?

( they look kinda like a blimp
except they are twice as long and skinny
like a cigar...)

because this thing wasn't floating..it was just parked in the sky

completely motionless... and to be honest it was very boring.

like looking at a tree trunk that doesnt move... and i continued on

delivering newspapers to a few houses....then i got this creepy feeling like i was being watched so i went back again to see if it was still there..

it was ...same place exactly...parked motionless in the sky...

i watched it for twenty more minutes...sitting on the banana seat with my arms crossed staring at it intensely.....same deal, no movement at all

i started to leave once more.....then I spun a circle on the old trusty bike

to look back ...for - one - last -final -look... and that cigar shaped ship

suddenly banged a wicked fast U -E and sped off like an arrow shot from a bow leaving a dissapating vapor trail ..and it completely astounded me to the point that i couldn't even finish my paper route that evening (and zoomed home) and of course
when i told my whole stinkin family (all excited) they thought i was quite insane...and nuttier than a fruitcake they still do....
and from then on i have felt ALONE! . I totally lost all respect for them (all 6 of my family members)
and from that day onward i became the "RAVEN" . a loner.

and that is the gods honest truth, so help me god.

There must be some alien life from there. How else do you catch 55 lb+ stripers in the middle of the desert with rattlesnakes around you while doing some shoreline casting in a manmade lake.

On a leaf seeing trip in October back in the 60's with my parents we, along with many other cars, stopped along a highway in North Central New Hampshire at about 7 in the evening to watch three glowing disc shaped objects hovering alongside the highway in between several mountain peaks. They looked to be about 75 feet across. My Mother was screaming at my Dad, "John, get us out of here"! John! John! But like many other cars he pulled over and got out to see better. I looked and then buried my head in a pillow on the back seat. I will never forget that experience and don't have a clue as to what they were but can hear my Dad to this day yelling "Rita!" 'Look there are UFO's right there" Look Rita Look"! I looked up to see them just rise straight up and then zoom ( and that is the best way to describe it) away disapearing into the night sky which was clear and starlit. Everyone parked alongside the road was yelling "did you see that"?

Beat the sh!t out of what I saw earlier at Clarks' Trading Post that afternoon. Never forget that and to this day my Mother will not talk about it.

true story.

Millions of galaxies with billions of stars in each.......of course there's life out there. Our own galaxy has billions of stars.Intelligent life HAS to be out there. The Drake Equation is a formula for estimating how many technological civilizations could be out there.

Still on the fence about Roswell. Our government loves to hide/lie about its screw-ups and secret projects to the point of insanity. The Kecksburg
case is another interesting "incident".

I saw two of I thought were two helicopters in the winter of '76. I stopped my car got out for a better view and heard nothing-silence. It was dark and I could only see lights hovering over P-town Harbor, I was on Rt. 6 at the High Head road. Then zip-zip they were gone over Wood End. Went from a dead hover to gone in an instant, I've never before or since seen anything move that fast.

Why would you say such a thing?

Remember there are millions of galaxies with billions of stars meaning there are literally a billion trillion planets. The number of planets in the known universe is beyond our ability to count.

Our own galaxy has several BILLION stars with hundreds of millions of them of the same type as ours. That translates to billions of possibly habitable planets.Of those some, millions HAD to have developed life and hundreds of thousands of those had to have developed intelligent life and thousands of those had to have developed highly intelligent life. And a select few had to have been so successful in evolution to a point so beyond our ability to comprehend.

Simply put our galaxy alone is teaming with as many life bearing planets as there individual life forms on Earth!

The above is a simple breakdown of what the Drake Equation is.
 http://www.seti.org/site/pp.asp?c=ktJ2J9MMIsE&b=179073
The truth of the matter is we really are not alone!

I had an uncle who was in the air force for thirty or so years. When I visited him in Colorado in 1995 I asked him if he ever went through that base, Rosswell that is. He said the only thing that was there was testing stuff and the people there got a big kick out of listening to all the jibber jabber about the aliens. He did say the test done there was of the highest secuirty clearance necessary to be involved.

I agree that there absolutely has to be life somewhere out there, but I don't know if there is intelligent life capable of contacting us in some way. I doubt very much that they evolved to look much like us, with two eyes, two arms, nostrils and mouths, etc. The chance if that is almost impossible.
Also, light travels at 186,600 miles PER SECOND. At that speed, it takes four years for light from the nearest star (other than the sun) to get here. It takes light from many of the stars we see in the night sky millions of years to get here at that incredibly fast speed. I seriously doubt that anyone from anywhere else is coming here.
Toby, maybe you've got to give the fishing a break and take up a daytime sport like golf that lets you get some more sleep.

VERY TRUE. Some of the stars we see in the night sky may not even exist anymore.

you are not thinking about inter dimensional travel though..

where you pop thru from one dimension to another...

and alien beings that are a million more years advanced can do things
that we could neither understand or believe possible...

When we do admit/publicly meet life from elsewhere in the cosmos, organized religion is going to take a hit.

I don't think we are the only life form out there but who knows what happened at Roswell? It was during the cold war, we played disinformation games with the Soviets, so who knows?

About 10 years ago I walked into my living room in Yuma, AZ and turned on the tv. The announcer was asking a question along the lines of "Does anyone know what those lights are?"My instant response was "flares dropped from a jet". It turned out that what I was watching was a news broadcast from Phoenix and people were in a panic over the Phoenix Lights. UFOs they said. Solid proof right here on all the networks in Phoenix. It couldn't possibly be anything but UFOs. Witnesses were coming up with wild stories on what the lights did despite video evidence that all they did was disappear, slowly.
Sure enough they found out that the mysterious lights were in fact flares dropped from jets doing night manuevers out of Luke AFB. Of course there are a few of the nut jobs that claim it is a cover up, Phoenix was being warned or surveilled.......

Well, as far as those flares, the Govt does have a way of diverting attention away from what could be really happening!!!
Nah!!! They would not do that, would they???
How about another controversy!!!
How many people really believe that we landed on the moon in 1969??? Or was this a phony cover-up just to beat the Russians???
Would our govt have survived if the Russians were first??? Lots of questions that go unanswered!!!
