The difference here is that the tribe doesn't need a YES vote to build. The YES vote will just speed up the process for a full license.
A NO vote will not stop the tribe from building. But will drastically cut the monies Middleboro will recieve from the casino.

that's the point that is going over everyones' heads including most of the voters of this town The more I learn about it, the more I lean towards agreeing with the agreement the town and the tribe came up with so we don't end up with squat if the vote doesn't pass. they will just build it anyway once they become a soveirgn nation.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

That is the hard part of it. It would really suk to see the town lose out on much needed money. From what I read a while back (I may be wrong though) the town doesn't have the money to replace the Fire Chief.
The money being offered will definately help the town. All you can hope for is that the casino isn't as bad as some make it out to be.
I lived in Reno and Las Vegas and they each have many casinos. People learn to cope with traffic. Good luck.
Oh and crime, prostitution, illegal drugs aren't as rampant as some believe. Reno is actually quite a nice city. Eventually I will be moving back there.

I lived in Reno right across from the Peppermill love that town.
Now on to Middleboro If the agreement says 4% of rooms will go to Middleboro, well its a no brainer, fill the rooms!! how you ask! Hmmm Water park, Golf, CONVENTIONS and shows!! It will bring in off shoot businesses to help fill those rooms, sell them more land to build a convention hall, Middleboro could be the richest town in Mass plus other surrounding areas would be building hotels resteraunts etc! Think of oppurtunities here.
If anything Vote yes and get your up front payments and hope the land does'nt go through the process but dont vote NO and get nothing and still have a huge bingo hall like ledyard did and then eventually they give them slots and the town gets nothing in return.
I was there last night I have been Pro all along its my business.
I feel like the others if there is a speck of a chance any possible senario it could be built anyway I want to get paid for it.
Vote yes 28th its the best bet for this area.

NH and Maine both said no way too.
Lost oppurtunity as far as I am concerned.
NH has Dog tracks, horse tracks, "non profit" poker rooms, Power ball, tri state and many other new and old State lotteries. Scratch tickets up the quzoo...but a Casino...Oh my...The Violence, the Homeless, The drugs, The starving kids, The dirty streets, The traffic, The tour buses loaded with fine older people cashing in retirement checks....whatever.
The roll of the Dice, the green felt everywhere, the pretty girls handing me free drinks, the wife winning on her favorite Wheel of Fortune machine ding ding ding...We Have A Winner.....I'll vote yes and I don't even live there.
