aquaskinz eel bag
put eels in individual ziplocs or sandwich bags...when you need one just grab the bag

you can get 8 in the mesh bag

Sounds like plan. I was concerned about keeping them alive but I guess if I puncture wholes in the bags for air and dunk them periodically they should be fine.

I use the aquaskinz bag, without the zip locs though and it works great. the zip locs are a great idea... much easy to grab one eel out of there thanks for the tip Jim.

I use a small six-pack cooler that I sling over my neck and shoulder that I got for $10 at CVS. I keep them in a mesh lingerie bag inside. It works great. I used to keep them on my belt but they would bang into my leg when I walked.

That's what I do - works great. The only problem is if you are deep wading the water pushes all of the air out of the bags & the eels can suffocate. Just open & reseal the bags every so often to put more air in them.
