Lami has to make a GSB 120 2L. They build the XS 10 MS factory rod on it.

all star 1145 does all that very well, just might be tough to find since they don't make it anymore. I love mine for the times that I need a 2 piece but don't use it very often in favor of 1 piece lamis.

soooo???
do you see the 1145 as a blank that is comfortable down to an ounce? i'm more concerned about the bottom end of the range with that rod...

GSB 1081L meets that description pretty well. I don't know if it's available in a 2 piece. I also have the glb 1081m which I feel comfortable throwing up to 3 with but 1 ounce bombers feel a little light on it. When I'm fishing mostly in the 1-2 oz. range I go with the gsb 1081L. If I'm doing much over that I like the glb 108m.
If you were willing to go to 10 feet the Arra 1203-2 would be perfect but I definitely would not cut that down. Too prone to breakage. I used to love my 1145 for 1 ounce plugs until I got the 1203(old 1204). I don't have it but I would think the 9 foot lighter arra would be perfect.

i would not recommend the glb1082mh. it's a pretty stout rod. it will not handle lures under 1.5 very well.
the gsb1142m is a whip stick. it has no tip pwer at all. you'd have to cut 6" off the tip before you even make it handle lures over 2 ounces. i was not too happy w/ the blank when i got it.
i have no experience on the gsh-series from lamiglas, but i wouldnt be surprised if the specs of the gsh-series blank is similar to the similar numberd gsb-series blank.
the batson su1145f may work, but i'd bet it's too soft. the other 2-pieces may be too much rod and are all 10'6" or longer. good luck finding all stars.
the gsb1202L may do what you want, but it is 10'. my 1-piece 1201L handles 1/2 to 3 oz, but is ideal for 1 - 2.5. 2 is about perfect. i have not built on the 1202L, but cutting the blank will void the warranty from the factory and may alter the characteristics greater than it would on the 1-piece 1201L. also, ignor the lure weight on the lamiglas website. they are usually off on this series and are way off on the 10' and 11' models.
i have yet to find a 2-piece that matches the gsb1081m, which is about the perfect light rod for the range you want. another perfect one would be the batson sw1087 in a 2-piece, which i have yet to find available.
another possibility is the csb1082m. i have not built on that, but i have built on the series. they do have glass tips and the surf series of the triflex series are a little tip heavy. you mentioned you wanted graphite, so that one may be out too.

the 2 piece gsb lami's all feel much stiffer than there 1 piece equivalent from what I've felt. Just something to keep in mind.
