ok I was fishing off a dock and there were no joke 100 stripers. I was using clams and small poppers. the bass would not take anything. they were only eating these long red bugs. what should i do to catch them? can anyone tell me what these bug things are?

sounds like a worm hatch...use little red rubber worms...they actually sell some that comes in a jar...deadly for the hatch...

Got to small, unweighted pink plastic worms / jigs / flies - still not guaranteed to catch though fish can be pretty stubborn on a hatch but the fishing can be pretty good too

Get some red berkely power worms in red and then take a sharpie and blacken the head...then cast it out there on a casting egg

French fries work on me. I always get fooled by ones that have a little ketchup on them.
