The best thing about fishing on Thanksgiving, like Scotch said...

- are the Memories -

It's a day when most people don't work. It was easy to coherce people into coming back then. My father would invite his brothers and my mother's brothers, most had rods but for those who didn't...my father would provide. Not that I encourage drinking while fishing, but someone would bring a gallon of home-made wine, someone else would bring a bag of rolls with some St. Georges' cheese and other snacks too...and of course a little bottle of shine. YES, I always got stuck driving home (after 15 yr. that is). Going way back, we'd have a line-up on them rocks - the more the merrier if you don't care if you catch fish or not...but we usually did

I'm pretty sure I'll be flying solo this year, which isn't all bad. Solitude on a day of thanks is always good. One on ONE with the Almighty. We need birthdays to remind us that we're getting older...but we shouldn't need Thanksgiving Day, to remind us to give thanks to the Lord. NO, I'm not a preacher...but a BELIEVER!

Keep em coming~
God Bless

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots
