the post is a year old Joe
but yes to answer ....your question....
i will not sell it as Organic however
because once again the federal Government
has completely interfered where they don't belong
and screwed it up so bad
it isn't worth the hassle...
instead i'll call it
grown naturally
or) without chemicals
as Nature intended
anything but the word "Organic"
because in order to use that Label
you have to catalog every single thing you do
like an accountant to the point of insanity...
like say for example....you notice one plant in a row
has a clogged drip emitter and hasn't been getting the water
all the other plants have been getting...
so you decide to give it a drink of compost tea....
well technically... you have to go enter that step in a log file
that says when, how much? what the NPK amounts are
where the fertilizer came from what it's made from
when it was made... on and ON and on....it goes until
you are ready to be committed...to an insane asylum
which is why i made the reference to the funny Farm.
the Government F'd the whole thing up!

He is a gentleman Farmer of Charlton Massachusetts, where I have a home on South Charlton Resevoir.
Charlton is located in south central mass and is known locally as "Little Vermont" because of its hilly terrain and some spectacular views from the top of Dresser Hill and Route 31. You can see the Berkshire foothills and the tops of Mount Monadnock and Wachusett on clear winter days to the north.
Southbridge and Sturbridge are western border towns and Oxford/Dudley and Webster to the east. It's 19 miles southwest of Worcseter, my hometown.
Charlton is a Turkey hunters paradise with huge flocks and lots of really good deer hunting as well.
My lake, though private, is loaded with big largemouths.
I don't get up there much anymore. My mother and my brother and his wife from Florida stay there in the summers, my wife goes up now and then but Striper fishing keeps me here on Cape ( I just can't give it up for some reason, even for a weekend!)
Congrats Raven, I will stop by some time to check out the spread! Good luck you'll love it there!

Why even try.........

Sounds like another great government program.
We need an even bigger government and more taxes to add to the regulations
and have an inspector come and check the analysis of your compost tea.
They haven't pushed food prices high enuff yet.
