I fished the SW corvner on Saturday. No hookups - There were plenty of whales and birds, and tons of bait. Didn't see a splash all day.

We were on the bank on Saturday, same thing lots of bait, birds and a great whale show, but no tuna. Most of the day was flat calm so that didn't help.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day ...
show him where to fish and ... you'll be sorry

My friends fished the SW corner Sunday and said it was a great whale show. He was there for several hours but all he caught were some big bluefish. He said the water was still and you could see your reflection in it. He fished late morning/early afternoon and there were about a dozen boats around him. As far as he could tell no one hooked up.

I'm off to the canyons for the weekend as long as the northerly component in the weather diminishes or breaks down. Otherwise it will be a day trip to the deep. Can you say YELLOWFIN and MARLIN?

I heard nearly everyone had blue marlin action. Man, the reports I heard have been incredible. Swordfish, bigeyes, yellowfin thick as bluefish. How did you make out?

My fishing partner (back when he used to fish for stripers) had quiet a day for himself. I thought I'd tease his success a bit. He'll post later on today. Matt??
